Ilchi Lee
President

Ilchi Lee is a dedicated visionary and educator for a peaceful, mindful, and sustainable world. Over more than four decades, he has developed dozens of mind-body training methods, which have assisted countless individuals and groups worldwide to live healthier, happier, and more peaceful lives. There are over 300 training centers in Asia and 100 in the United States and Europe that teach his methods.  Ilchi Lee is a New York Times bestselling author and has written over 40 books. 

He established the Global Cyber University and the Benjamin School for Character Education in South Korea. Lee serves as the president of the Earth Citizens Organization (ECO).

The government of El Salvador awarded Ilchi Lee, the José Simeón Cañas Slave Liberator Order, one of the highest national awards in 2018. The award recognized the culture of peace his Brain Education method brought to gang-violent schools throughout the country.

Isabel Pastor Guzman
Executive Director, IBREA Foundation

Isabel is the Executive Director of IBREA Foundation and Editor-in-Chief of Brain World magazine. She has been studying and teaching mind-body training methods since 2009, starting during her graduate studies at Harvard University. With a deep passion for helping both individuals and the world, Isabel graduated with a law degree in her home country of Spain. She then worked for the UN’s International Organization for Migration (IOM) for six years, facilitating legal migration to the European Union from the Western Balkans and North Africa.

In 2011, Isabel joined IBREA Foundation, where she has since combined her expertise in personal development and global development. Her work focuses on the intersection of brain-body training and social transformation, addressing issues like poverty and violence. Isabel has designed and led workshops and projects around the world, working with a diverse range of groups, including government officials, health professionals, psychologists, youth, children affected by war, and women. She also hosts annual conferences at the UN Headquarters in New York, exploring the relationship between the human mind, consciousness, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Aeri Shin
Director, IBREA Latin America

Aeri has over 20 years experience in teaching brain-based holistic education in Korea and the U.S.

She took a major role in establishing IBREA’s office in the U.S. and developing IBREA’s collaboration with the United Nations since 2007. She started off Brain World magazine, IBREA’s publication which explores cutting-edge science and how its findings can affect human health, culture, education, global issues, and more.

Since 2011, she has guided and led IBREA projects in Africa and Latin America, and since 2020, she is leading IBREA El Salvador.

She is currently in charge of establishing the Ilchi Institute for Peace and Earth Management in El Salvador, and expanding Brain Education programs to Central and Latin America.

    Board Chair

    Anne Covert is a retired psychotherapist now living in Boston, MA. She has an AB from Hamilton College and a MA from Syracuse University. She has been active in Women’s rights and Environmental causes for over 30 years.

  • Joung Han Lee

    Board Member
    Director at BRC Consulting

    Joung Han has dedicated himself to the field of Brain Education, assuming multiple roles as a practitioner, coach and consultant. His journey led him to take on a senior management position in Brain Education consulting, particularly focused in schools and corporations. At present, he is responsible for creating a more robust system for the standardization and certification of Brain Education training techniques.

    Director at Honor’s Haven Retreat and Conference

    Julian Lee has been the General Manager at Honor’s Haven Retreat and Conference since 2009, where he established a business for wellness through a combination of yoga, meditation and sustainable living practices. Rooted in ancient Asian principles, he envisions a harmonious world of coexistence, humanity and environmental balance.

  • Dami Kim

    Board Member
    Regional manager at Body and Brain Inc.

    As a Tao Master and a successful business woman, with nearly 25 years of experience managing Body and Brain Yoga-Tai Chi studios, she is also a Master Trainer of Body and Brain’s signature mind/body workshops. Dami also served as a trainer and consultant of Brain Education, for both children and adults. Dami is a Certified Life Coach and Brain Management Consultant who has coached entrepreneurs and educators, medical professionals, members of congress, as well as CEOs and celebrities.

  • Steve Kim

    Director at Earth Citizens Organization (ECO)

    Steve Kim is a writer, speaker, and life-long practitioner of mindfulness and sustainable living. He currently serves as the executive director of the Earth Citizens Organization (ECO), a non-profit dedicated to promoting mindful living, natural health, and world sustainability.

  • Collette Hemmings

    Board Member

    Collette Hemmings has been a senior executive at Nice Inc. and coached teams internationally for the last 20 years. She has experience in both the public and private sectors and has lived with her family in 7 countries. Her passion is supporting leaders and teams to move beyond what they thought was possible and transcend their limitations. She is now a private coach to entrepreneurs and leads corporate wellness webinars and retreats through Brain Sports corporate wellness, a platform for holistic wellbeing and leadership through mind-body training.
